Senior Electrical Engineer - Avionics Hardware Systems

Join a leading avionics engineering firm as a Senior Electrical Engineer, where you'll drive innovation in commercial aviation technology. We're seeking an experienced hardware engineer to lead full product lifecycle development, from concept to manufacturing, in our growing avionics division.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end electrical design cycles for aviation systems, including concept development, schematic capture, and PCB layout
  • Design and develop advanced electrical prototypes and production units for commercial avionics applications
  • Engineer solutions utilizing microprocessors, FPGAs, analog circuitry, and modern networking technologies
  • Conduct comprehensive design validation, including accelerated life testing and environmental qualification
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for FAA compliance
  • Drive engineering improvements for enhanced manufacturability and system performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of hardware engineering experience, with focus on electrical design
  • Proven expertise in digital and analog circuit design
  • Proficiency with OrCAD/Allegro PCB Designer or equivalent tools
  • Experience with diagnostic equipment including oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • FAA certification and MilSpec requirements experience
  • FPGA design expertise, particularly with Xilinx platforms
  • Background in Ethernet and electro-optical design
  • Experience in aviation or aerospace industries
