We're seeking a talented and experienced Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our dynamic team in Mechanicsburg, PA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects across the Mid-Atlantic region, focusing on water resources, hydraulics, and hydrology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design water resources projects for various clients, including private developers, corporations, municipalities, and transportation agencies
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling for natural systems and stormwater collection systems
- Conduct floodplain management, culvert and bridge hydraulics, and scour analysis
- Design erosion and sediment control, drainage, and stormwater management systems
- Prepare technical reports, plans, specifications, and other engineering documents
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure project success
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget (for those interested in task/project management)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
- 5-12 years of experience in water resources engineering
- FE/EIT certification required; PE license preferred
- Proficiency in H&H modeling software (PondPack, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HY-8, Watershed Modeling System)
- Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation, including 3D modeling
- Familiarity with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, DelDOT, MDSHA, VDOT, and/or DCDOT regulations
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- Self-motivated team player
