Join a high-impact team at the forefront of communication device innovation! We’re seeking a skilled RF Hardware Engineer to design, implement, integrate, and test cutting-edge digital and RF systems. This hybrid role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, all while offering relocation assistance, top-tier benefits, and a 25% 401(k) contribution.
As a key contributor to a small, elite engineering team, you'll help drive the design and development of next-gen communication devices. You’ll engage in end-to-end hardware development—from PCB design and RF system architecture to rigorous testing and field validation. This is a mission-critical role that supports defense and advanced communication efforts, requiring an active SECRET clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
Design and review PCBs for RF communication systems, including RF and power distribution layouts.
Execute comprehensive hardware testing and validation for performance and reliability.
Analyze custom and COTS schematic diagrams and electrical designs.
Develop and maintain technical documentation (requirements specs, interface control docs, wiring diagrams, etc.).
Create and support test plans, including lab and field testing procedures.
Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, systems, software, and signal processing engineers.
Provide technical guidance on hardware design strategies and implementation.
Support integration efforts, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with PCB vendors.
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of relevant experience in RF and digital hardware design.
Proficiency with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power supplies.
Hands-on RF design experience for both receivers and transmitters.
Deep understanding of RF cascade analysis, noise figure, gain, and linearity trade-offs.
Familiarity with analog-digital converter (ADC/DAC) performance and interfaces.
Experience working in Linux environments for system testing and troubleshooting.
Proficiency with PCB circuit design, including power and control signal routing.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Active SECRET clearance required; TS/SCI preferred.
Experience with CAD design tools for circuit and PCB development (not required).
Ability to independently identify and source hardware components based on project needs.
Highly competitive salary: $180,000 – $220,000
Generous 25% 401(k) match
Comprehensive benefits package
