Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist - Chemical Industry

Position Overview

As an EHS Specialist, you'll work directly with the HSE Manager to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety and environmental programs that protect our employees and ensure regulatory compliance.

Essential Responsibilities

• Drive safety culture initiatives and employee engagement programs
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations
• Manage hazardous waste operations and environmental reporting
• Conduct safety training and employee coaching sessions
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
• Participate in emergency response planning and execution
• Oversee contractor safety programs and compliance
• Support process hazard analyses (PHAs) and safety committee activities

Qualifications & Requirements

• AS/BS degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field
• 0-2 years of EHS experience, preferably in chemical manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management systems
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed
