Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 annually
Overview: Join a premier U.S.-based manufacturer specializing in high-precision components for the aerospace, energy, and defense sectors. We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead process innovation across the entire product lifecycle—from New Product Introduction (NPI) to process optimization and requalification of legacy parts. This role is pivotal in a regulated machining environment, utilizing advanced manufacturing techniques including multi-axis CNC milling, EDM (wire/sinker), creep feed, and 5-axis grinding.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and refine manufacturing processes for complex, precision components.
Serve as primary engineering liaison for key OEM customers.
Lead validation and requalification of legacy parts.
Create machining strategies (tool paths, feeds/speeds, fixturing, EDM settings).
Partner with Quality, Tooling, Operations, and vendors to drive scalable solutions.
Conduct root cause analysis and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives.
Mentor junior engineers and train operators on process updates.
Support CAD/CAM programming using Mastercam, Vericut, and SolidWorks.
Participate in audits, First Article Inspections (FAI), and PPAP documentation.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
5–10+ years of experience in regulated manufacturing environments (aerospace, energy, medical, automotive).
Deep knowledge of:
Multi-axis CNC milling
Wire and sinker EDM
Creep feed/CBN grinding
Proficient in CAD/CAM systems including Mastercam and SolidWorks.
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
Experience in customer-facing engineering roles.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent quality systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise in machining high-temperature alloys (e.g., Inconel, Hastelloy).
Experience with legacy part requalification and reverse engineering.
Familiarity with Haas CNC controls.
Lean, Six Sigma, or CI certification.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
