Vice President of Construction Operations | Themed & Specialty Commercial Construction Leader

We are seeking an exceptional Vice President of Construction Operations to lead and transform our construction operations in the exciting world of themed entertainment and specialty commercial construction. This senior leadership position offers the unique opportunity to oversee high-profile projects for industry leaders including theme parks, entertainment venues, and premier non-residential facilities. The VP of Construction Operations will drive operational excellence, lead cross-functional teams, and shape the strategic direction of our construction division while delivering extraordinary projects that captivate millions of visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic operational initiatives to maximize efficiency, productivity, and profitability across all construction operations
Provide executive leadership and direction to directors and managers across design, estimating, pre-construction, project management, production/shop operations, and field construction teams
Establish operational priorities, allocate resources effectively, and drive financial performance to meet and exceed company objectives
Oversee all phases of themed entertainment and specialty commercial construction projects from pre-construction through final delivery
Ensure quality standards, safety protocols, and project timelines are consistently met across all construction operations
Build and mentor high-performing construction teams while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
Manage multi-million dollar construction budgets and drive profitability through effective cost control and project delivery strategies
Collaborate with executive leadership to define company vision, growth strategies, and operational best practices
Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and industry partners
Implement construction technology, processes, and systems to enhance operational efficiency

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field required
Minimum 8+ years of progressive commercial construction leadership experience in senior management roles
Proven leadership experience in themed entertainment construction, specialty construction, or non-residential construction projects strongly preferred
Comprehensive construction expertise including estimating, contract negotiation, project delivery methods, and field operations management
Hands-on field construction experience with demonstrated time working on active construction sites (hard hat and boots experience required)
Track record of successfully leading, developing, and scaling construction teams in fast-paced, complex project environments
Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L, budgets, and driving profitability
Experience with Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) or similar business operating frameworks
Excellent communication, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
