Controls Engineer – PLC Programming & Industrial Automation Specialist

Revel Staffing is actively seeking a talented Controls Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on delivering cutting-edge electrical control system solutions for global manufacturing operations. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced PLC/HMI programming technologies, support OEM equipment commissioning, and provide critical technical service across international facilities. Key Responsibilities

Lead installation, startup, and commissioning of OEM manufacturing equipment and electrical control systems at global facilities (remote and onsite support)
Perform PLC programming, HMI configuration, and system integration for Rockwell Automation and Siemens platforms
Provide expert technical service and troubleshooting support for industrial control systems and automation equipment
Diagnose and resolve complex control-related issues in manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer teams to ensure controls systems meet specifications and compliance standards
Interface with internal departments to maintain adherence to customer controls policies, safety protocols, and industry best practices
Document system configurations, modifications, and technical procedures for ongoing maintenance and support
Maintain strict compliance with all safety regulations and workplace protocols

Required Qualifications & Skills

Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation Technology, or related technical field required; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
3–5 years of hands-on experience in controls engineering, industrial automation, or IT systems within manufacturing environments
Demonstrated expertise in control system design, implementation, and troubleshooting for global manufacturing operations
Advanced proficiency programming Rockwell Automation Logix PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix)
Strong experience with Rockwell HMI platforms including PanelView Plus, PanelView Plus CE, and FactoryTalk View ME/SE
Proven experience programming Siemens S7 PLCs and TIA Portal software
Solid understanding of Ethernet-based industrial networks, including Ethernet/IP, Profinet, and network architectures
Excellent troubleshooting skills for electrical and electronic control systems
Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional and international teams
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed for installations and commissioning projects
Experience working with international teams and global manufacturing standards is a plus
