Civil Site Design Project Manager | Licensed PE | New Jersey Land Development

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee multi-use land development projects including residential, commercial, and institutional developments from initial concept through municipal approval and construction
- Lead site design efforts for stormwater management systems, grading plans, erosion and sediment control, utility design, and infrastructure layouts
- Navigate the municipal approval process throughout New Jersey, coordinating with planning boards, zoning boards, and regulatory agencies
- Prepare comprehensive engineering deliverables including concept plans, detailed site plans, subdivision designs, engineering reports, and stormwater management documentation
- Interface directly with NJDEP and local municipal agencies for permit applications and regulatory compliance
- Serve as primary client contact, ensuring exceptional communication and project delivery
- Coordinate with contractors, subconsultants, surveyors, and multidisciplinary team members
- Mentor junior engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and professional development
- Conduct site visits, construction administration, and quality assurance reviews
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects
Required Qualifications
- New Jersey Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain reciprocity (Engineer-in-Training certification required for candidates pursuing licensure)
- 5-10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience with focus on site/land development
- Extensive knowledge of New Jersey land development regulations, local ordinances, and NJDEP permitting requirements
- Proven experience with stormwater management design, grading and drainage, erosion control, and utility infrastructure
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D for site design and plan production
- Experience with HydroCAD or similar stormwater modeling software
- Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple projects and competing deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client presentations and agency interactions
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to quality engineering work
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Collaborative team player with ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Valid driver's license for site visits and client meetings throughout New Jersey
