Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage assigned mechanical engineering projects from inception through successful completion and product launch
• Develop comprehensive project requirements to resolve complex product and process challenges while supporting new product development initiatives
• Conduct technical investigations, design specifications, and engineering analyses, presenting recommendations to senior management for approval
• Design mechanical systems for prototype development, pre-commercial testing, and new commercial products in an advanced product development environment
• Apply mechanical design expertise across a diverse portfolio of industrial manufacturing products with emphasis on quality, reliability, and manufacturability
• Provide technical leadership throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept design through production implementation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions meet customer requirements and manufacturing standards
• Utilize CAD software and finite element analysis tools to optimize mechanical designs and validate performance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (preferred)
• Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development
• Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software for 3D modeling and mechanical design
• Demonstrated expertise in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), with ANSYS experience strongly preferred
• Proven track record of technical leadership in designing products for manufacturing environments
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills for complex engineering challenges
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for interfacing with management and cross-functional teams
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to the nature of the work and project requirements
