Key Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor engineering teams including civil engineers, land development designers, and CAD technicians
- Provide technical expertise in grading design, drainage systems, utility coordination, and site civil engineering

- Conduct contract negotiations, scope development, and fee proposal preparation for land development consulting services

Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Land Development, or Urban Planning (Master's degree preferred)
- Professional Licensure: Active California Professional Engineer (PE) license required, or ability to obtain California PE registration within 6 months
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive civil engineering experience in land development and site design
- Leadership Experience: At least 5 years in project management, team leadership, or director-level role within private consulting environment
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other civil engineering design software
- Project Management Skills: Demonstrated expertise in project scheduling, budget management, and resource planning
- Land Development Expertise: Strong understanding of subdivision design, grading and drainage engineering, utility infrastructure, and entitlement processes
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), local municipal codes, and permitting requirements
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for client presentations, technical reports, and team collaboration
