Civil Engineer - Land Development & Municipal Infrastructure | South Florida

Sun-Tech Engineering, Inc. (STE) is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in South Florida. Key Responsibilities

Design and prepare comprehensive civil engineering plans, construction drawings, and technical specifications for residential and commercial land development projects
Manage complex permitting processes and maintain compliance with city, county, state, and federal regulatory agencies
Conduct detailed site evaluations, feasibility studies, and engineering due diligence reports
Provide accurate cost estimating, project scheduling, and technical coordination throughout project lifecycles
Perform construction administration and oversight to ensure quality control, regulatory compliance, and project efficiency
Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives and design excellence
Prepare stormwater management plans and drainage design in accordance with Florida regulations
Review and analyze engineering reports, surveys, and technical documentation

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (required)
Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida (strongly preferred) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification with ability to obtain PE
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in civil engineering with focus on land development, site design, stormwater management, or municipal infrastructure projects
Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and civil engineering design software
Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of Florida Building Code, South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) regulations, environmental permitting requirements, and local agency standards
Professional Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective time management, and attention to detail
Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget constraints
