Process Engineer - Pulp

Monroe, LA · Manufacturing

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Process Engineer to join our dynamic pulp manufacturing team in Monroe, Louisiana. This key role offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $135,000 and includes a comprehensive relocation package.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations, production improvements, and operational efficiency of the Fiber department
• Manage and optimize 3 continuous digesters (3-Kamyr), recycle plant, recausticizing plant, and woodyard operations
• Lead area improvements in safety, productivity, quality, cost, and variation reduction
• Ensure compliance with established key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Participate in night and weekend call rotations for the Fiber area
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations teams to coordinate and plan maintenance activities
• Drive problem-solving initiatives and develop countermeasures to prevent future issues

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science, or related engineering discipline
• 2-7 years of process engineering experience in the paper/pulp industry
• Minimum 3 years of pulp/paper manufacturing experience
• Experience with pulp mill and recausticizing plant operations preferred
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in SAP (preferred)
