DSP Communications Engineer

We are seeking a DSP Communications Engineer to lead innovative projects involving custom digital signal processing and high-performance communications systems.

What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a DSP Communications Engineer, you will:

  • Lead and mentor small technical teams in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software-defined communication systems.

  • Develop and implement DSP algorithms and hardware control solutions tailored to modern communications challenges.

  • Optimize system performance and design deployment strategies for real-world mission scenarios.

  • Interface directly with end users and stakeholders to ensure systems meet operational needs.

  • Deliver high-quality code and documentation with a strong emphasis on testing and system integrity.


What You Bring: Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field.

  • Strong experience in scientific programming with C, C++, or similar languages on UNIX/Linux platforms.

  • Solid understanding of digital signal processing or modern communications theory.

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • CUDA programming

    • ICE Cards

    • Modulation/Demodulation techniques (Mod/Demod)

  • Top Secret/SCI clearance required (Must be a U.S. Citizen)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in system development, deployment, and technical leadership.

  • Experience with:

    • X-Midas or MATLAB

    • Satellite and cellular communications systems

    • Modern modulation schemes

    • Interference cancellation

    • Equalization and signal conditioning

    • Cyclostationary techniques and resampling methods
