Position Overview
As a Senior Employment Attorney, you will handle complex employment litigation matters, focusing on school district defense and public entity representation. This role combines sophisticated legal work with the flexibility of remote working arrangements.
Core Responsibilities
- Handle complex employment litigation matters for educational institutions and public entities
- Manage cases involving PAGA and class action matters
- Provide strategic counsel to school district clients
- Work with third-party administrator employment panels
- Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive case strategies
- Navigate complex employment defense matters
- Develop and maintain client relationships
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of employment law defense experience
- Active membership in California State Bar (good standing)
- Proven experience with school district defense in employment law
- Experience working with school third-party administrator employment panels
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Strong background in employment litigation defense
- Excellence in written and oral communication
- Demonstrated expertise in PAGA and class action matters
