We're seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our dynamic construction team in Deerfield Beach, FL. In this pivotal role, you'll manage financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting our growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management:

• Oversee project billing, subcontractor payments, and payable processes
• Track financial progress through detailed reporting and analysis
• Set up and maintain electronic project folders for documentation

• Accounting Software Proficiency:

• Input and manage contract information, budgets, and change orders in ComputerEase
• Generate AIA billings and process job-related invoices
• Post monthly activities for Accounts Receivable and Payable

• Project Communication:

• Attend project turnover, review, and close-out meetings
• Liaise effectively with Project Executives, Managers, and Coordinators
• Provide timely feedback to upper management on project financial status

• Leadership and Problem-Solving:

• Demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude in a fast-paced environment
• Develop innovative solutions to financial challenges
• Adapt to organizational changes and new directives

Requirements

• Education and Experience:

• Associate's degree in Accounting or related field
• 2-3+ years of experience as a Project Accountant in the construction industry
• Prior experience working for a General Contractor (not subcontractor)

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in ComputerEase, Microsoft Excel (advanced functions), and Word
• Knowledge of Procore (preferred)
• Ability to create and analyze complex financial reports

• Soft Skills:

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
