Staff Hematology Scientist (Commercial Product Engineering)

Multi-billion-dollar business that designs, develops, and manufactures medical products. Global medical leader. The organization has over 18,000 patents and employees in 70 countries. It is leading the charge in healthcare innovation through innovative technologies. Their technologies and services are used by approximately 5 million people every day.

We are searching for a Hematology specialist who is interested in working in the Commercial Product Engineering area. The organization is experiencing rapid growth in this group and product area. The entire portfolio of products will be supported, including legacy and new product development. (Entire portfolio launched in two months!).

  • You will be responsible for a variety of technical activities, including product engineering and investigating performance issues in consumables and hematology analyzers.
  • Construct and execute studies, troubleshoot, investigate, and mitigate.
  • Prevent potential issues that could impact the system's performance by anticipating them and taking proactive steps to prevent any instrument downtime.
  • You will enjoy working with a core team of 10 people, but you can also work cross-functionally within the company.

Who will be a great fit?
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree. Masters/PhD preferred, but not necessary (Biology or Biochemistry). Depending on your education level, you may need 2-10 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of Hematology instruments and reagents. Expertise in the development of commercial products support and engineering
  • You are self-motivated and can work in fast-paced environments with little supervision.
  • Understanding the measurement principles and how they work with hematology analyzers.
  • Willing to travel minimally when necessary (5-10%)
