Our client is one of Western New York’s largest healthcare systems. They are in the process of updating and standardizing their internal systems to ensure the infrastructure is in place to efficiently support the growing demand for services.
We are actively seeking a Laboratory Information Systems Manager who will be responsible for maintaining the Information Technology infrastructure and associated clinical applications for the Laboratory. The Manager will also ensure IT systems meet regulatory requirements and remain current and meet the needs of the hospital/lab operations. The current Information Technology Lab Department supports Lab Clients and Lab Instrument interfaces to the EMR and connectivity to the existing network. They also support the Point of Care connectivity to the EMR. The selected candidate will manage a team of IT Analysts covering General Laboratory, Pathology, Microbiology, Blood Bank, & Outreach Services.
Additionally, Laboratory Information Systems Department maintains the lab charting formats and oversees the operation of Laboratory charting. The Manager contributes to inspection readiness & participates in the preparations leading up to an inspection.
Who Will Be a Great Fit?
- 5+ years of experience managing a team supporting Lab Applications and Instrumentation including Cerner Pathnet, Cerner Healthsentry, Abbott, Siemens Unipoc, Beckman Coulter, Radiometer, Orthovision, Stagos, and Sysmex
- Bachelors in Clinical Laboratory Science, or IT information Systems with a focus on clinical/lab systems
