IT Analyst - Manufacturing

  • the client is a large World Class Tier I automotive supplier with over 20,000 employees.

  • Assists corporate IT in the training, support and setup of users for MS Office Applications, Ethernet, and Wireless-based Networking.
  • Follows industry- and CLIENT-accepted best practice for application, setup, training, and ongoing support of users of PC-based hardware and software.
  • Understanding the basics of installation, support, and application of wireless Bar Coding programs. Includes links to other databases that can be used to capture and use Bar Coded information.
  • Work closely with Materials, Manufacturing, Quality, Safety, Continual Improvement, Safety, Human Resources, Maintenance and Finance in order to link different applications to all functions, as needed.
  • Assists in the training, support, and continuous improvement of understanding, use, and implementation of new IT-based programs. This will improve both hourly as well as salary productivity.
  • Troubleshoots PC-based applications. If necessary, provides retraining and fixes to fix the root cause. For support and follow-up, users can share their PC applications.
  • Assist Production and Management with PC-Based Systems. This will help to identify, measure and track metrics such as OEE, scrap, and downtime.
  • You must ensure that you comply with the SOX IT requirements and ISPM Policies.
  • Track software licenses for plant applications, and obtain the licenses when needed.
  • Monitor the Help Desk Queue, take responsibility for tickets that are assigned promptly, and resolve them as soon as possible.
Who Will Be a Great Fit for the IT Analyst position?  
  • 3 + years experience as an IT Analyst within a fast-paced manufacturing or Tier I automotive environment.
  • Experience in LAN Infrastructure, Virtual Servers, Microsoft Servers, Printers, Copiers, Phone & Voicemail Systems, and server backup software.  
  • Experience with Nysus, QAD and ILVS preferred
  •  Ability to support existing and new processes, you will need to be able to communicate with Shop Floor, Supervision, and Engineering personnel using PC-based Information Technology.  
  • Understanding basic Manufacturing Process Flow concepts, including First-In and Last-Out (FIFO), Quality Control of Processes, and Manufacturing Processes. Also, Operations and Shop Floor Communications.
  • Communication skills that allow you to effectively communicate with all levels of the Manufacturing Organization including hourly PC users on the Shop Floor, supervisors, as well as management.
  • Capability to prioritize resources and make recommendations for improvements in plant infrastructure.
