Manager, Business Applications

Pomona, California

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the role of Manager, Business Applications. Positioned within the Information Technology and Systems department and directly reporting to the Vice President (VP) of InfoTech & Systems, the chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in steering the direction of our information system and business applications initiatives. Responsibilities

As a Manager, Business Applications, you will:

  • Lead and Manage: Oversee the business applications team, managing all facets of application development, configuration, and integrations. Ensure strict adherence to change control policies, processes, and all essential documentation.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with both business and IT leadership to manage the intake of project and service requests efficiently.
  • Vendor Relations: Handle key vendor relationships, including negotiating licensing agreements and managing statements of work and work plans to facilitate projects.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Provide robust support to team members, aiding in the development of their skills in project management, technology, and personnel management.
  • Strategic Input: Actively contribute to strategic and annual planning processes, assisting in decision-making regarding priorities, long-term roadmaps, and allocation of resources including people and budget.
  • Foster Customer Service Mindset: Encourage a culture of strong customer service within the team, ensuring collaborative efforts with business leaders, IT leaders, and project teams to serve as effective thought partners.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in applications management and people leadership.
  • Demonstrable expertise in managing the IT project lifecycle, understanding of implementation methodology, SDLC, SOD, change management processes, and associated documentation.
  • Proficiency in managing and maintaining SaaS and Cloud-based systems through effective vendor management.
  • Experience with integrated ERP 3rd Party solutions (mobile RF, EDI, eCommerce, Supply Chain Planning, Financials Forecasting) and understanding of transaction database architecture and schemas.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and their integration with ERP and other systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate concepts clearly and concisely to business leaders and cross-functional teams in both verbal and written forms.
  • A respectful, customer service-oriented approach in dealings with leaders and end users.

Compensation

  • Annual Salary: USD $115,000 - $130,000
