Our client is a stable, growing company seeking electronic design engineers for their Long Island NY facility. They are well-established and have a strong product portfolio in the electronics space, providing high-reliability communications, networking, and power solutions for aerospace, defense, industrial, and space applications. New technologies are being developed for their customer base in the US and internationally.

Multiple positions are open at Principal Engineer, Senior Engineer, and Intermediate Engineer levels. These positions will design analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronics. Full job description and other details are available.

Responsibilities include:

  • All positions are hands-on. Depending on the level, may provide technical leadership and develop requirements and specifications; conceptual development all the way through the entire design lifecycle to manufacturing; coordinate engineering teams and other groups; mentor, train, and coach; contribute technical input into proposals; or be virtually 100% hands-on.
  • Perform original and innovative analog and digital hardware design. Generate design reports and present findings to the team at design reviews.

Who Will Be a Great Fit? 
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or a similar field of studies is required. MS a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in analog and digital circuit design and mixed-signal design, including analog to digital conversion, processors, microcontroller, I/O communications, and discrete I/Os.
  • Experience in power electronics design, thermal analysis, electrical stress analysis, worst-case analysis, FMEA analysis, tolerance analysis, aging analysis, and EMI analysis.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-1275/704 and DO-160 DC and AC input power specifications, DC/DC converters.
  • Experience with Power devices Mosfet, IGBT, SiC, and GaN.
  • Familiarity with multiple communication protocols including CAN, RS232/422/485, SPI, JTAG, PCI, PCIe, 1G/10G Ethernet.
