Business Analyst - hybrid work from home

Our client is a small, privately-held document output solutions provider that offers commercial printing and integrated transactional print/technology solutions. This employer is seeking a technology-oriented Business Analyst to be the primary driver in delivering small to medium-sized application development projects critical to achieving business objectives, mainly within customer-facing projects.

 

  • Interface with client business team members to understand business requirements and objectives and support project plan development and timelines.
  • Develop technical documents and templates for new applications to align with business requirements and objectives.
  • Design reliable, scalable, and efficient workflows and processes within a Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) framework.
  • Within an Agile Project Management Methodology, define sprint deliverables and coordinate development tasks and change requests with developers. Communicate with project managers and business analysts on sprint contents, task status, risks, changes needed, and timelines.
  • Develop and execute system test plans (STP) for implementations. Manage system testing cycle and migrate code and changes into user acceptance testing (UAT) and production (PROD) regions. 
  • Drive maintenance and release schedule for core IT infrastructure and platforms.
  • Drive new platform innovations from idea to business approval by vetting technology and software solutions.

Who Will Be a Great Fit?  
  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in creating Activity Diagrams and Functional specifications
  • Must have experience in IT infrastructure and how common applications impact the writing of technical requirements. 
  • Strong experience gathering and analyzing data from a variety of data sources.
  • Experience in working with very small teams, helping design software and application solutions, and coordinating development activities.
  • Knowledge of data security best practices and compliance frameworks.
  • Solid experience in writing SQL queries, and utilizing Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
