Accounting Manager

This role has no boundaries on where this position can evolve and attracting an accounting professional with strong promotion prospects is a must. The immediate focus of the position starts with improving the daily operations and close process for the global business. The ability to understand business needs and proactively communicate is fundamental to success in this position. The position will initially have one direct report with plans to add another resource in 2022.   • Lead the global day-to-day operations and monthly financial close;
  • Continuously work with key internal clients to identify informational needs and develop solutions to meet those needs;
  • Direct responsibility for revenue related activities;
  • Weekly review of accounts payable activity with a focus on creating best procurement practices and AP automation;
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance and periodic upgrade of financial systems;
  • Participate in or lead implementation of new Financial Reporting tools (adding to Netsuite);
  • Drive major finance initiatives such as financial and operational reporting overhaul and revenue recognition model;
  • Prepare routine and ad-hoc reports on financial and operational performance;
  • Improve and maintain accounting policies and procedures to enhance general ledger operations, internal controls, and GAAP compliance;
  • A key member of annual audit including coordination of timing, preparation of year-end schedules and supporting documents;
  • Lead, mentor, and coordinate accounting team staff;
  • Work with Corporate Controller to develop and carry out long-term financial goals and plans for major capital investments.

Who Will Be a Great Fit?  
  • 6 +years’ experience in progressively increasing positions of responsibility; will consider a straight public accounting manager; prior technology industry experience is strongly preferred; prior involvement with acquisitions is a plus;
  • Practical experience with building technology ecosystems to create scalable processes across departments ideal; must be comfortable with change and the challenges of growth;
  • Experience with mid-range accounting software and financial reporting tool is required; proficiency in Netsuite or INTACT is preferred;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop other team members and scale an organization is very attractive;
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication and self-awareness are essential
