Finance Director

Concord, CA · Accounting/Finance · 130000
  • Attractive Salary in the $110-130,000 range

  • This is a great opportunity to work with a company in the non-profit sector. They are very involved with the Contra Costa community and devoted to their mission to help low income individuals. 


Finance and Accounting:

  • Manage accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with
    appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program
    budgets and actual expenditures
  • Coordinate with the controller to oversee all audit activity.
  • Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports accurately and promptly.
  • Clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  •  Monitor progress and changes and keep executives abreast of agency’s financial
    status.
  • Assist agency’s leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process.
  • Support the COO/CFO and CEO in engaging the board’s audit and finance
     

Financial Leadership:

  • Leverage strengths of the current finance team, help to clarify roles and
    responsibilities and develop and implement training programs in order to
    maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals.
  •  Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all
    levels throughout the organization.
  •  Create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.
Who Will Be a Great Fit?  
  • Experience working within the nonprofit sector.
  • Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development, and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger,
  • payroll, and accounting for investments.
  • Experience working with computer-based service documentation/data collection.
  • Experience working in diverse settings with people across all socio-economic spectrums and various personalities and roles - staff, participants, local
  • agencies, vendors, volunteers, etc.
  • Master of Business Administration or CPA
  • Experience with Intacct
