Daily direction is given to the CNC Supervisor by the Machine Setup Technician. The Machine Setup Technician works in a designated group to meet daily production needs.
The main duties of the Machine Setup Technician include calibrating and setting up various production machines in the facility. You will need to use various tools and measuring equipment, as well as machine tools, in order to prepare the equipment for production runs. This person will be responsible for machining tasks and general labor in different areas of the manufacturing plant.
Handle difficult setups such as indicating, leveling and clamping. Set up pick-up points and control stops as well as check tooling. With little assistance, solve complex technical problems every day.
Contribute to the group's efforts to achieve daily goals in safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity.
Contribute to the efforts to prevent any lost time accidents in the area or throughout the plant.
Encourage and support housekeeping excellence in the assigned group as well as throughout the facility.
Who Will Be a Great Fit?
You must be able to read, interpret, and respond to product specifications, drawings, and blueprints.
You must be familiar with and comfortable using industrial machinery... Mills/lathes
Strong mechanical skills are required.
You are familiar with using snap gauges and micrometers for dimension evaluation.
The following areas are covered: assembly, machining, reading and understanding drawings, quality control, safety, and quality control.
Experience working in a diverse environment in manufacturing.
You must have excellent verbal, written, and mathematical skills.
Demonstrate good eye/hand coordination. Demonstrate good manual dexterity.
