Job Description

As an RF/Antenna / Electromagnetic engineer, you will be part of our brilliant small team which is focused on developing and analyzing all RF elements of new high-performance radar imaging systems and/or wireless digital communication systems from antenna to protocol level.

As a Senior Level Antenna engineer with 2 -10 years of experience and the ability to lead technical teams, making selections on technical alternatives; leading the execution of complex assignments. Leading proposal development. Defining and leading project work at a large task/project level, reporting results on time and on budget. All while embracing expectations for quality, safety, and security.

 

Qualifications

A BS or BA degree in Electrical Engineering with 3-12 years of experience, or MS/MA degree with 2-10 years of experience, or a PhD with 0-10 years of RF / Antenna / Electromagnetic experience, or an emphasis in RF/microwave circuits, electromagnetic theory, or communications systems theory

Must be able to obtain and maintain  a DOE/DoD security clearance. Minimum L / Secret, Q / Top Secret/SCI preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience leading engineering teams developing complex systems
  • Experience characterizing radar or radio performance at microwave frequencies
  • Familiar with radar or radio related test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, vector signal generator, network analyzers, and software defined radios (SDRs)
  • Experience in Matlab, Python, C++ or equivalent tools for modeling and analyzing RF systems
  • RF/microwave design experience up to 30 GHz
  • RF/microwave design using HFSS, CST, ADS, AWR or similar software
  • Understanding of electromagnetic propagation and antenna systems
  • Must be able to obtain a DOE/DoD security clearance. Minimum Secret, TS/SCI preferred.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Design, simulate, and test RF front-end systems and sub-systems
  • Lead engineering teams in the development of RF/microwave systems and sub-systems
  • Derive specifications for RF/microwave systems and sub-systems
  • Develop RF/microwave circuits and components including transceivers and antennas
  • Characterize RF system performance
  • Participate in technical design reviews and element/system level activities
  • Develop prototypes
  • Ability to give guidance on new assignments, making selections on technical alternatives; independently complete more complex assignments. Leading or contribution to proposals. Defining and leading project work at a large task/project level, reporting results on time and on budget. All while embracing expectations for quality, safety, and security.
