RN Inpatient Float Pool

 Requires minimum of 1 year of experience, but really would like, around 2 years. Working in 2 acute care units is desirable, but not necessary at this time. Good critical thinking skills, and flexibility required
• Float level B- Floats to all Med Surg Units in Rock Island, and Bettendorf differential $7 (nights 12% up to 3.25)
• Critical Care Floats (float level C) floats to ED, ICU all 3 hospitals, may also float to Med Surg if not needed in critical care areas differential $10 + other differentials as applies
Utilizing the Nursing Process, coordinates and implements care ofpatients within an assigned unit of the hospital under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Patient Care Manager. Performs work of considerable difficulty.
Demonstrates competence in the skills, (critical thinking, interpersonal, and technical[i]) necessary to carry out assigned duties as identified below. Demonstrated competence in recognizing and responding to patients physical, mental, emotional and developmental needs should be evaluated in relation to the patient populations served as appropriate for each responsibility.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Must be a graduate of accredited School of Nursing. Previous acute care experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES & SKILLS: The following is required:
Knowledge of the nursing care required for patients throughout the age continuum;
Ability to use the nursing process;
Knowledge of teaching/learning theories;
Ability to critically think, problem solve; plan, organize, and coordinate patient care activities;
Ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS: Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in the State of Illinois. Must maintain current CPR Certification
