Our clients Emergency Department is a 23 bed unit with the availability of 5 additional patient hallway beds available for less critical patients. The ED sees an average of 115 patients per day. Patients are transported by ambulances as well as enter directly through the patient waiting room. The ED is equipped to handle all types of emergencies from acute cardiac conditions to women in active labor. The ED is not a designated trauma unit nor does not have an active pediatric population. The unit is staffed 24/7 by Attending Physicians, RN's, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Emergency Care Techs, Patient Care Aids as well as secretarial support. An average of 25% of the patients who come through the ED are admitted to the hospital.
 
The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of care for a given patient population with the established standards and practices of the Hospital.  This process is enacted through direct clinical practice, management of patient care and general professional duties.

 
Who Will Be a Great Fit?  
 
  • New York State Registered Professional Nurse license in good standing.
  • At least one year of recent Adult Med/Surg or Adult ICU experience required.
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
  • Bachelors in Nursing
