Continuous Improvement Manager

We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to drive and enhance plant operations. The ideal candidate will have experience leading strategy and goal deployment, developing site-wide lean roadmaps, and delivering tangible results.

  • Spearhead all standardized continuous improvement initiatives across the site, serving as a catalyst for change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate the deployment of strategy and goals across all site functions and multiple value streams, maintaining a comprehensive lean roadmap aimed at achieving site objectives in productivity, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
  • Champion and report site productivity savings to align with Annual Operating Plan (AOP) goals.
  • Lead kaizen and lean workshops for site leaders and associates, covering various methodologies such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), daily management, standard work, 3P/layout, cell design, material flow, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), SMED, 5S, and visual management.
  • Identify and capitalize on business improvement opportunities, leveraging internal and external best practices to drive enhancements across the site.
  • Maintain a consistent project pipeline sourced from all areas of the business and cultivate a skilled team of lean tool experts.

Who Will Be a Great Fit?  

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical engineering discipline.
  • Preferably holds current CQA Certification in Quality Assurance or similar certification, with Six Sigma training/certification also desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in lean kaizen methodologies, encompassing VSM, daily management, standard work, cell design, material flow, TPM, SMED, 3P/layout, 5S, and visual management.
  • Experience with lean methodologies within a company with a formal lean business system.
  • Proficient in lean tool technical skills, project management, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience in a machining/assembly environment.
  • Working knowledge across multiple operations including quality, logistics, finance, sales, customer service, engineering, IT, and human resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coach week-long kaizen teams with a strong focus on execution.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence site leadership and earn respect from peers and associates.
  • Proven track record of leading change initiatives.
  • Open to any manufacturing industry, although experience in water filtration technology is preferred.
  • Hands-on approach to problem-solving and improvement initiatives.
