Overview: Are you a passionate Geotechnical Engineer seeking an opportunity to make a difference in your community? Join our expanding team in Louisville, Kentucky, as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer. This role offers the flexibility of a remote or hybrid working arrangement and presents an exciting chance to contribute to the growth of our consulting engineering practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering and consulting services for various projects and clients, including field investigations, engineering analyses, design development, and report preparation.
  • Review drawings and construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate engineering work, including complex investigations and innovative techniques.
  • Supervise less experienced engineers and technical support personnel.
  • Lead marketing, sales, and business development efforts.
  • Champion safety efforts and promote a culture of continuous quality improvement.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical direction for routine and complex projects, including conceptualizing initial designs and investigative approaches.
  • Lead technical training and stay updated on state-of-the-art technology issues.
  • Serve as an Authorized Project Reviewer and lead safety efforts for the team.
  • Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred (Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a focus on geotechnical engineering).
  • Minimum 8 years of post-PE/responsible charge experience with geotechnical consulting firms.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Kentucky, or ability to attain within 6 months.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history.
