Senior Engineer - Mechanical/Structural Design

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Engineer specializing in Mechanical or Structural Design, you will:

  • Lead Projects: Take the helm on projects of varying complexities, from inception through to completion, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.
  • Design & Standards: Interpret specifications to craft comprehensive drawings and designs, adhering to ASME, API, and other relevant standards. Develop and enforce design standards and procedures across the board.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Offer your expertise and guidance to team members, enhancing their skills and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Risk & Cost Management: Evaluate potential risks and costs, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and within budget.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all design calculations meet the strict criteria set out in our QA manual.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Present concepts and findings effectively to external parties, including end-user engineers, ensuring transparency and collaboration.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
  • 6-10 years of experience in designing ASME VIII equipment within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in structural and pressure vessel engineering, capable of managing projects of diverse complexity.
  • Expertise in Computer Aided Design (CAD), particularly AutoDesk.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to oversee projects independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with a diverse range of skilled trades.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification.
