Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop system architectures for machine control systems, including creating electrical schematics and network diagrams.
• Develop programming standards and templates to improve efficiency and consistency across projects.
• Program, commission, and debug automation systems, including PLCs and robots, ensuring seamless functionality.
• Lead both large and small automation projects at our facility and on-site at customer locations.
• Specify data collection systems that interface with PLC/PAC and integrate with M.E.S. systems for enhanced performance.
• Manage a team of junior engineers on larger projects, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Collaborate with applications teams to provide accurate quotes and project estimates.
• Travel to customer sites for equipment installation, runoffs, and machine acceptance while delivering operator training.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in control systems design and programming.
• Proven ability to program PLCs from scratch and prior exposure to robotic systems.
• Material handling experience is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and timelines.
• Willingness to train junior engineers and technicians to foster a capable team.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to travel to client sites as required.
