Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Skilled Nursing Facility

Albany, New York

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a full-time Speech Language Pathologist in Albany, NY, where you will provide exceptional speech therapy services in a skilled nursing facility setting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of residents' speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Treatment Planning: Select appropriate activities aimed at helping residents perform daily tasks independently.
  • Monitoring Progress: Observe residents during therapy sessions, assess their progress, and document detailed reports.
  • Rehabilitation: Assist in the rehabilitation of residents affected by injury, illness, or other conditions.
  • Safety & Confidentiality: Ensure a safe and clean working environment and maintain resident confidentiality by overseeing the processing of sensitive information.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Keep accurate records of resident care services by auditing both resident and departmental records.
  • Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with healthcare teams to contribute to a unified effort in providing top-notch care.
 

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy Program.
  • Licensure: Current New York State License to practice as a Speech Therapist.
  • Experience: Prior experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: $42 - $52, commensurate with experience.
