Director of Cardiovascular Services

Austin, Texas

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Cardiovascular Services to lead our state-of-the-art cardiac care facilities in Austin, Texas. This pivotal role oversees multiple departments, including the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Heart and Vascular Unit, Cardiovascular Imaging, and Heart Failure Clinic. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of clinical expertise, leadership acumen, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 leadership for all cardiovascular service lines
• Oversee quality assessment and improvement initiatives
• Develop and implement cardiac care policies and procedures
• Manage financial operations of cardiovascular services
• Coordinate interdepartmental services and integration
• Ensure staff competency and ongoing professional development
• Maintain regulatory compliance and accreditation standards
• Serve as a liaison between medical staff and nursing teams
• Lead emergency response efforts in cardiac care areas
• Optimize patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes

Qualifications

• Current RN license with BSN degree required
• 5+ years of progressive cardiovascular leadership experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven track record in financial management and budgeting
• Experience with quality improvement methodologies
