We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pre-Operative Nurse Manager to lead our Surgery Center and Pre-Admission Testing Clinic in Austin, TX. This role combines hands-on nursing with leadership responsibilities, overseeing daily operations and staff management.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the Surgery Center and Pre-Admission Testing Clinic
• Oversee staffing assignments and schedules to ensure optimal coverage and productivity
• Direct and participate in unit activities and operations
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment
• Develop and nurture a positive team culture within the nursing unit
• Supervise and mentor a team of 35 FTEs, including 3 Charge RNs
• Manage pre-operative care for patients undergoing OR, IR, and endoscopy procedures
• Active Registered Nurse license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 90 days if holding a Compact License)
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or charge nurse role in surgery/day surgery
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience in pre-operative patient care
