We're seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Superintendent to join our paper manufacturing team in Dayton, Ohio. This pivotal role reports directly to the Paper Machine Superintendent and offers a competitive salary range of $110,000-$130,000 plus bonus potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of paper machine operations, including:
• Safety protocols and environmental compliance
• Equipment reliability and maintenance
• Quality control and continuous improvement
• Cost management and performance optimization
•  Develop and mentor Front Line Leaders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish production standards and budgets
•  Implement and refine standard work systems for sustainable positive results
•  Manage key process indicators and drive improvement strategies
•  Coordinate with maintenance teams for equipment sustainability
•  Ensure effective communication of business strategies and goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Paper Science, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of progressive papermaking experience, including 3-5 years in leadership roles
• Strong knowledge of integrated mill operations
• Proven track record in identifying and implementing process improvements
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making
• Experience with environmental compliance in the Pulp and Paper industry (preferred)
