Paper Mill Operations & Wastewater Treatment Supervisor
A leading global paper manufacturing company seeks an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee fiber receiving, wastewater treatment, and production operations at our state-of-the-art facility. Position Overview
As Operations Supervisor, you will manage daily operations of our fiber receiving and wastewater treatment facilities, leading a team of skilled technicians while maintaining strict quality standards and regulatory compliance. This role combines technical expertise with leadership skills to drive operational excellence and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise operations teams across multiple shifts in fiber receiving and wastewater treatment
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations
- Manage water quality programs and environmental initiatives
- Oversee chemical procurement and inventory management
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency
- Develop and maintain safety protocols and culture
- Coordinate maintenance activities and quality control measures
- Provide technical support and training to staff
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Paper Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-10 years of paper manufacturing supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment operations and environmental regulations
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
