Senior Autonomous Vehicle Safety Systems Engineer

Core Responsibilities

• Design and implement safety-critical software systems for autonomous vehicles
• Develop and maintain safety documentation and Level of Rigor artifacts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety features into vehicle systems
• Perform safety analysis and risk assessments using industry standards
• Create and review system safety requirements and architectures
• Ensure compliance with automotive safety standards and regulations

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Safety Software Engineer
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
• Proven experience with safety-critical software development using Simulink or SCADE
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming
• Experience with Level of Rigor documentation and safety compliance standards

Preferred Qualifications

• ISO 26262 functional safety experience
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-882E safety standards
• Experience with ASIL-D requirements and implementation
• Master's degree in related field
