Job description:

We are working with a Tier 1 supplier of plastic components to the automotive industry to find a Supply Chain Manager who will oversee plastic injection molding operations for their plant in upstate, SC.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Supply Chain Management (SCM) or Material Planning & Logisitics (MP&L), particularly within automotive manufacturing along with strong SAP skills.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement supply chain strategies specific to the automotive industry.

- Manage supplier, manufacturer, and logistics partnerships to ensure timely deliveries.

- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance manufacturing processes and resolve issues.

- Track and assess supply chain metrics to identify improvement opportunities.

- Forecast demand and manage inventory to align production schedules with optimal stock levels.

- Ensure compliance with automotive quality and safety standards.

- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

- Prepare and present performance and progress reports to senior management.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience in supply chain or MP&L management (automotive products)

- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

- In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and supply chain optimization methods.

- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, with a strong track record of building effective relationships.

- Skilled in SAP, IQMS, and other supply chain software, with solid analytical abilities.

- Understanding of industry regulations and quality standards (such as ISO/TS, IATF 16949).

- Familiarity with project management methodologies.

- Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and techniques.

- Minimal travel < 10%.
