We're seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team in Ontario. As a technical leader, you'll oversee complex mechanical projects, develop innovative design strategies, and mentor junior engineers in the building services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and stamp mechanical projects of varying complexities
- Develop and implement cutting-edge design strategies
- Provide technical mentorship to intermediate and junior engineers
- Conduct audits, feasibility assessments, and investigations
- Establish mechanical design standards and best practices
- Resolve construction-related issues through expert troubleshooting
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and cross-functional engineering teams
- Perform site visits and oversee construction phase services
Requirements
- 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in building services
- Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) license in Ontario with 5+ years of Canadian experience
- Extensive design experience with central plant systems (HVAC, hot water, steam, chilled water)
- Proficiency in DDC control systems and sequencing
- In-depth knowledge of OBC, ASHRAE, CSA, and ASPE standards
- Diverse industry experience (commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare)
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Location
