We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Obstetrics to lead our OB department in Richmond, VA. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a transitional leader to manage both the financial and clinical operations of our growing obstetrics unit.
• Oversee financial and clinical operations of the OB department
• Develop and implement strategic hiring and retention plans
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and quality standards
• Foster interdepartmental communication and collaboration
• Implement and evaluate new services and programs
• Manage and mentor nursing staff, ensuring competency and engagement
• Coordinate patient care and family communication
• Drive continuous improvement in department performance
• Participate in hospital-wide leadership initiatives
• Current RN license in Virginia or eligibility for licensure
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum 5 years of current nursing experience
• At least 2 years of management experience in Obstetrics
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience as a Director of OB in a similar-sized unit
• Proficiency in quality management and process improvement

• Competitive salary range: $110,000 - $176,000
• Lead a growing OB unit: 4 OB beds, 24 Mother-Baby beds, 130-165 deliveries monthly
