Occupational Therapist - Inpatient Hospital (13-Week Contract)

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic rehabilitation team in Salinas, CA. This 13-week contract position offers an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care in a fast-paced inpatient hospital environment. Shift: 5/8s

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop tailored care plans
• Provide high-quality occupational therapy interventions across diverse age groups
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document treatment progress and maintain accurate patient records
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home care strategies
• Mentor and guide therapy students and new team members
• Manage adaptive equipment issuance and patient education
• Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications and Requirements

• Active California Occupational Therapy License
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience, preferably in an inpatient hospital setting
• Strong knowledge of pediatric and adult occupational therapy techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends if necessary
