The Respiratory Therapist, registered or certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care, is tasked with delivering Cardiopulmonary Services. Following approved protocols and department policies, the Respiratory Therapist ensures the provision of timely diagnostic and therapeutic services to both inpatients and outpatients. Responsibilities encompass assisting physicians in invasive and non-invasive procedures, administering medicated aerosols through medical compressed gas, airway maintenance, ventilator management, arterial line insertion, intubations, pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and blood gases.
Who Will Be a Great Fit?
- Associate's degree
- State of Arkansas Board of Medicine license
- Current AHA or ARC, BLS certification, STABLE, PALS, BRP, and ACLS, or ability to acquire within 13 weeks of start
- Registered Respiratory Therapist certificate
