Senior Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Emergency Services

Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate all clinical operations within the Emergency Department during assigned shifts
• Provide clinical oversight and mentorship to nursing staff while maintaining direct patient care responsibilities
• Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and coordinate appropriate interventions
• Facilitate effective communication between interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards
• Develop and deliver patient/family education programs
• Manage electronic health records and maintain accurate clinical documentation

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in Tennessee or compact state
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's degree strongly preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience (ICU or Psychiatric experience considered)
• Minimum 1 year Emergency Department nursing experience
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
• Ability to obtain ACLS and PALS certification within 1 year
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification within 6 months

Preferred Qualifications:

• Level I Trauma Center experience
• Previous Charge Nurse experience
• BSN degree
• Emergency Nursing Certification (CEN)
