We're seeking an experienced Emergency Department Nurse Manager to lead two dynamic ED departments in our growing healthcare system. This leadership role offers the unique opportunity to shape emergency care delivery while developing high-performing teams in the scenic Finger Lakes region.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee clinical operations for two Emergency Departments
• Drive quality metrics and patient safety initiatives
• Lead and mentor clinical staff, including ED nurses and ALS program personnel
• Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation
• Implement evidence-based practices and care protocols
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration
• Direct staff recruitment, retention, and professional development
• Ensure regulatory compliance and accreditation standards
• Supervise Hospital Clinical Leaders and Medic 55 ALS Program
Required Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Nursing or related field
• Current New York State RN license
• 3-4 years RN experience, including 18+ months in Emergency Department
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Strong leadership and communication abilities
• Project management experience
• Computer proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous management experience
• CEN certification
• Meditech and Microsoft Office expertise
• Emergency department leadership background
