Nurse Manager - LTC

Waterloo, New York · Healthcare

We're seeking an experienced Senior Nurse Manager to lead our specialized long-term care units, including our innovative neurobehavioral and secure memory care departments. This leadership role offers the opportunity to guide a dynamic healthcare team while making a meaningful impact on resident care quality and outcomes.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for a 151-bed facility, including specialized units
  • Direct and mentor a diverse clinical team of CNAs, LPNs, RNs, and support staff
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives aligned with DOH requirements
  • Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary care planning and family communications
  • Drive staff development and retention programs
  • Oversee regulatory compliance and documentation standards
 

Required Qualifications

  • Current NYS Registered Nurse License
  • 2+ years recent management experience in Long-Term Care
  • Strong background in special needs or behavioral health nursing
  • Proven track record in staff leadership and development
  • Proficiency in healthcare technology and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with quality metrics and regulatory compliance
