Supply Chain and Materials Management Specialist

We're seeking an experienced Supply Chain and Materials Management Specialist to join our healthcare organization in managing critical medical supplies and equipment. This role combines logistics expertise with healthcare operations to ensure optimal inventory management and seamless supply chain operations.

Position Overview

As our Supply Chain Specialist, you'll play a vital role in maintaining our healthcare facility's supply management system, ensuring medical professionals have access to the supplies they need when they need them. This position offers a blend of hands-on logistics work and systems management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize medical supply inventory systems to maintain appropriate par levels
• Coordinate supply chain operations including ordering, receiving, and distribution of medical supplies
• Execute inventory control procedures and maintain accurate stock records
• Monitor supply integrity, expiration dates, and proper labeling
• Operate and maintain inventory management systems and equipment
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure supply availability and optimize inventory levels
• Implement cost-control measures and conduct product utilization evaluations
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with healthcare professionals

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; college degree preferred
• 3+ years of healthcare materials management or inventory control experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Experience with automated procurement and inventory control systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to handle medical equipment and supplies
