NICU Nurse Manager - Clinical Leadership Opportunity in Beautiful Palm Springs

Position Overview

The NICU Nurse Manager provides comprehensive oversight of our NICU operations, ensuring exceptional patient care while leading a talented team of healthcare professionals. This role reports directly to the Nursing Director of Women, Infants and Children.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 operational leadership and clinical oversight of the NICU department
• Supervise and mentor Clinical Managers, Resource Nurses, and ancillary staff
• Ensure compliance with Title 22, TJC, CDPH, and CCS regulatory requirements
• Manage departmental productivity, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Collaborate closely with NICU Medical Director and Director of Nursing
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and maintain clinical excellence
• Oversee staff development, training, and performance evaluations
• Monitor patient satisfaction and implement improvement strategies

Required Qualifications

• Current California RN license
• BSN required (candidates completing degree will be considered)
• 5+ years NICU experience, including 3 years full-time clinical experience
• Current NRP and BLS certifications
• NICU certification from NCC or equivalent organization
• Demonstrated leadership and clinical expertise in neonatal care

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing
• NRP Instructor Certification
• Critical Care Transport Experience
