Cardiac Monitoring Technician II - ECG/Telemetry Specialist

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Cardiac Monitoring Technician II, where you'll play a crucial role in patient care by providing expert continuous cardiac monitoring and interpretation. This position offers an opportunity to work with state-of-the-art monitoring equipment in our Emergency Department, contributing directly to patient safety and positive outcomes.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and interpret real-time cardiac rhythms and ECG data for multiple patients simultaneously
  • Identify and respond to cardiac arrhythmias and critical alarms within established protocols
  • Analyze and document ST segments, QT intervals, SpO2 waveforms, and BP measurements
  • Communicate significant findings to nursing staff and healthcare team members
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and provide detailed shift documentation
  • Assist with patient transport and tracking throughout the facility
  • Participate in the orientation and training of new team members
  • Ensure compliance with Clinical Alarm Standards and departmental protocols

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • AHA BLS-HCP certification (required within 60 days of hire)
  • Successful completion of Annual Cardiac Monitor Assessment
  • Strong understanding of cardiac rhythm interpretation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
  • Basic computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cardiac Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) certification
  • One year of telemetry or cardiac monitoring experience
  • Prior healthcare or Emergency Department experience
