Workforce Development Nursing Program Supervisor

Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 per year

About the Role

We are seeking a Workforce Development Nursing Program Supervisor to oversee instructional and management responsibilities at our Workforce Development site in Sacramento, CA. In this role, you will provide leadership for nursing program activities, support faculty and students, and ensure program compliance with all state and accreditation standards. Key Responsibilities

Program Supervision & Administration

  • Supervise nursing program activities and faculty at the designated Workforce Development site.
  • Assist the Dean of Workforce Development with special projects, planning, development, and program evaluation.
  • Oversee clinical site liaison, faculty and student handbooks, program policies, and compliance with regulatory boards.
  • Ensure the maintenance and procurement of necessary supplies and equipment to meet program objectives.
  • Collaborate with HR to maintain required faculty and staff documentation.
  • Serve on program committees and support student admissions and orientation.

Clinical Oversight

  • Assess clinical sites for safety, risk management, and their ability to meet learning objectives.
  • Collaborate with clinical faculty and agency representatives to ensure effective student placement and experience.
  • Serve as the primary contact for partner HR teams regarding concurrent student/employee disciplinary matters.
  • Maintain clinical faculty assignments, rotation schedules, and compliance documentation.
  • Collect and analyze semester-end clinical evaluations for faculty and students.

Faculty Support & Instructional Responsibilities

  • Participate in curriculum planning and instructional delivery within the nursing program.
  • Ensure faculty are implementing best practices in clinical education and following program guidelines.
  • Monitor and support faculty compliance with student evaluations and learning objectives.
  • Provide leadership in strategic planning for continuous program improvement.
  • Utilize innovative teaching methodologies, including blended learning strategies.

Student Advocacy & Success

  • Develop skills lab and clinical site orientation programs.
  • Support student admissions, academic advising, and at-risk student intervention initiatives.
  • Ensure students meet all graduation and state licensing exam requirements.
  • Participate in national NCLEX success meetings to enhance student outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Active & Clear California Registered Nursing License (or state-specific license where applicable).
  • Master’s degree or higher in Nursing, Education, or Administration from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum one year of teaching experience in a pre- or post-licensure nursing program.
  • At least one year of experience providing direct patient care as a registered nurse.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to diversity and equity in education and healthcare.
  • Experience with technology tools such as MS Teams, Zoom, and Learning Management Systems.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Experience in supervision, budgeting, and program administration preferred.
