Cardiac Monitoring Technician II - Emergency Department

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret real-time ECG data for emergency department patients
• Identify and respond to cardiac arrhythmias and critical alarm events within established protocols
• Analyze and document ST segments, QT intervals, SpO2 waveforms, and BP measurements
• Communicate significant findings to nursing staff and healthcare team members
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and provide detailed shift documentation
• Ensure continuous patient safety through proper alarm management and monitoring
• Participate in training new team members and supporting staff education
• Coordinate with clinical teams for patient transport and monitoring continuity

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• AHA BLS-HCP certification (required within 60 days of hire)
• Successful completion of Annual Cardiac Monitor Assessment
• Strong computer proficiency and EMR experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cardiac Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) certification
• One year of cardiac monitoring experience
• Prior emergency department or acute care experience
• Experience with cardiac monitoring software and equipment
