Cardiac Monitoring Technician II - Emergency Department

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret real-time ECG data for emergency department patients
- Identify and respond to cardiac arrhythmias and critical alarm events within established protocols
- Analyze and document ST segments, QT intervals, SpO2 waveforms, and BP measurements
- Communicate significant findings to nursing staff and healthcare team members
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and provide detailed shift documentation
- Ensure continuous patient safety through proper alarm management and monitoring
- Participate in training new team members and supporting staff education
- Coordinate with clinical teams for patient transport and monitoring continuity
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- AHA BLS-HCP certification (required within 60 days of hire)
- Successful completion of Annual Cardiac Monitor Assessment
- Strong computer proficiency and EMR experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cardiac Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) certification
- One year of cardiac monitoring experience
- Prior emergency department or acute care experience
- Experience with cardiac monitoring software and equipment
